Here at SciFiantasy we have the pleasure of bringing you one of the latest works from John Allred. John has once again brought his impeccable painting and story telling in a diorama titled “Torment!”. John had a little help from Matthew Lawrence who put together the torch and wiring and also Steve Riojas who gave John advice on the balsa foam coating.  Also, the Fritz kit was cast by John Tucky.

In the second photo, you can see a very good shot of Fritz holding the torch. John had to cut a channel through Fritz’s arm and body. to accept the wiring for the build. The wiring was then run to the bottom of the base to the battery pack. Another small element to the story is gazing up at a small piece of cheese on the staircase. John also scratch built the chains and torch holder to give that added hint of realism. He also shows us the bottom of the base where the battery pack and official signature plate are affixed.

We would like  to thank John for sharing his work here at

I have been building models since I am about 8 years old. As many of us have, I picked up the hobby from my father. Without him I would probaby have never known this great hobby. I like to build everything from Military Models to Starships. Right now my passion is to build and light science fiction models.
