Oggie Gonzalez has entered his Batmobile in the SciFiantasy 2018 MOTY Online Contest. Here is what Oggie had to say about his build.

This is a 1/25 scale representation of the Batmobile from Batman vs Superman. The base color for the model was Tamiya’s, Rubber Black. Dry brushing was applied along various edges of the car using Testors Metalizer Aluminum to achieve a worn, weathered look. The tires were weathered using Tamiya’s Weathering Kit.

This model also required some scratch building in order to fill in some of the missing interior detail. When looking at reference pics of the studio car, one can see a mesh-like screen along with some piping situated behind the two seats. I scratch built this utilizing a fine metal screen from a tea strainer and strips of styrene plastic. The roll bar was made using a styrene rod. In order to illuminate the dashboard and front head lights, I used nano-sized SMD LED lights.

I have been building models since I was about 8 years old. As many of us did, I picked up the hobby from my father. Without him, I would probably have never known this great hobby. I like to build everything from Military Models to Starships. Right now my passion is to build and light science fiction models.
